DO NOT send Vendors, or entrepreneurs to me!
It is a waste of time for me, and the vendor. I love to see new lines of clothes, or toys at my leisure, but not while I have customers, or while I am pricing things. It also bothers me to deny someone attention who was told to come directly to me. I am also sure, it does not give them a very good impression. In the future please give them these emails: AREAKIDS@gmail.com, and lgendville@yahoo.com. Tell them to send a line sheet, as well as wholesale prices for their products to these emails. It saves everyone time :0)

Whats the Deal with Matryoshkas???

Slowly but surely matryoshkas, the little Russian nesting dolls, have been appearing everywhere!!! On shirts, bags, gift wrap, books, the dolls themselves, literally everywhere!! I must admit they are adorable...I want one!!!

Lightning is Pretty!!!

It poured today for about an hour and then the sun came out. I hate rain but i really like thunder and lightning, but to my dismay, there was none. :(

At least now the sun is out making this a very beautiful Saturday after all. Like i said i hate rain, so if i cannot see lightning, at least it can be nice and sunny! Lightning over the ocean is so beautiful!!!

Yesterday

So Gals n Guys, yesterday was super busy at 5th so Marie and I had no time to blog, but here is some

New JUNK FOOD, and Glug have arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marie and I were pricing JUNK FOOD, and putting it out in the store all day, and we have already sold some of the new JUNK FOOD and Glug, INCREDIBLE I know!

No one has the new items yet, but I hear there is going to be a delivery early in the week, so get ready for your brain to explode from all the adorable new items we have!!!!
I know I wasn't prepared, and all the cuteness gave me some sort of seizure, Marie had to step in and slap me in the face a few times so I could compose myself for the sake of our customers.
So, BE PREPARED!

Celebraties shop at AREA KIDS TOO.

AREA KIDS used to have a very very good customer (Elizabeth Holt) very fun and nice woman with a very beautiful and fun daughter.
Elizabeth's daughter used to love the COROLLE doll that we have siting in the bugaboo bee stroller that we have on display.
She moved to Washington dc but promise me to come back visit every time she can.
Before Elizabeth moved to Washington she bought the doll to her daughter.
She called me the other day to tell me that Brad Pit's daughter has the COROLLE doll that we have at AREA KIDS.
She was very exited telling me stories about her daughter and the famous doll.
Everybody in Washington dc is recognizing the doll and Elizabeth is telling them about our store.
I guess people in Washington dc are talking about us.

Pharell, Paper Mag, and other hotness

I heart N.E.R.D.,Converse,and PaperMag (well actually not Paper Mag) so when i got an invite to an N.E.R.D/Converse party hosted by P-Mag,I was elated for a couple of reasons. Open Bar,Gift bags and Pharrell. The party was sponsored by Grey Goose and Smart Water.Yum!Pharrell was amazing. Obviously but the Gift bags was awful.

It included a tote,the newest issue of Paper and a bottle of smart water.(frown)

anyway enjoy the music.

Guess who is going to CANCUN...?

No me.
I am very very jealous because my sweet heart partner that usually works with me at the 7th ave is going to Cancun without me.
While she will be having a margarita right in front of the beach with a tiny bikini and her boyfriend, I will be here at Area Kids working, wearing work clothes, all alone and no drinking.
I am just kidding!!!

Sushi!!!!

I Love Sushi!!! My good friend has recently pointed out to me that i am a very picky eater, which i never realized before. I was a picky eater as a child, however, i considered myself kind of a vacuum whenever food was around. Well, there is one type of food i never get tired of, never to full of, never too much of, never to broke for....SUSHI!!!! I love sushi, shrimp tempura, ginza roll, California roll, spicy tuna roll, dragon roll, eel cucumber roll, white tuna roll, any kind of roll....and of course a big hot bowl of miso soup!!

Latest Update on the Stolen Goods

For those of you who have been reading my blogs, you know that all of my boyfriends band equipment was stolen just before they came home from tour!! well, here are some up dates you should all know...

*they have recovered my boyfriends music man bass, a gift from his mentor and priceless and irreplaceable piece of equipment

* they man who pawned the bass was apprehended by the police and brought into the station for question

* the man who has the rest of their equipment has been identified and appears to have a record

hopefully, the will recover all the equipment and that the evil jerk face who stole it will go to jail forever!!!

Are You a Daring Girl???

On my latest shopping excursion on the hunt for the perfect summer dress, i happened to come across a really cool book titled The Daring Book for Girls. The book is a compilation of history, skills, fun projects and just about all the basic stuff girls should know, like how to be a spy, how to make a ring out of a peach pit, how to make a quill pen, how read palms and a lot more really cool stuff! Their is also a pocket sized version which teaches stuff like making a skirt out of a pillow case, skateboarding and a variety of other things. There is also a boys version called The Dangerous book for boys, which i plan on getting next. Though these books have a variety of cool information, all my friends who have heard of them (boys and girls) think both books are really cool and have information for everyone. I think the separation of sexes through the books is unnecessary, and they should combine them making one book for everyone!! what do you think?
