A tasty little treat

I don't usually opt for $4 drinks unless it's from Southside Coffee, but this baby caught my eye today:



I first thought it would only have a subtle pumpkin taste and be watery but to my surprise.. it was DELICIOUS! (As one of our frequent customers would say) It's really flavorful but not in an overwhelming way. It's also packed with 18g of protein. I am so glad I gave this pumpkin protein in a bottle a try. If you like pumpkin stuff, I highly recommend it.

CHOC-O-LATOR

Well...ok it is not a calculator made out of chocolate, it is however a calculator that looks like a nice yummy bar of chocolate, it is even wrapped up similar to a real bar of chocolate.

It is solar powered, and even has a real chocolate scent to it!
How cool is that!

Kelly!!

Soo I trained, well still am training our new addition to Area kids, Kelly! She is absolutely wonderful to work with and smart too! Learns quite fast and is super friendly. Hopefully she will be around 7th more often :)

Huge Ugly Doll!

Did you know that we have really HUGE Ugly Dolls in our stores???
They are 2 feet high and sooo cute. You can use them as your new pillow - try it!!!

How do they do it!?

On my walk to work today I noticed that there were awfully a lot of people out jogging. Me being the brilliant individual that I am finally deduced that there was some kind of marathon race in Carrol Gardens. I wish I had the dedication and discipline it takes to train for such an event. It's hard enough to get out of bed in the morning for school or work, I can't imagine getting up even earlier to run. I must just be really lazy.

Soooo Soft!

The Cuskiboo baby comforter is made from 100% bamboo yarn. It's so soft I just want to snuggle up to it. When you keep it inside your clothes or bed for a few days it absorbs those mommy/daddy scents so that when your baby sleeps it's comforted not only by something soft and snuggly they can cling to but by his or her parents' scents. How cool is that!

why are cashews so darn tasty?

Ok so I know cashews are pretty healthy when eaten in moderation and they give you energy blah blah blah but they are also full with fat!! like 180 calories per 1/4 cup! I just totally ate like 1 cup no joke and I feel totally sick from it too lol. No more cashews for a while...

Where did summer go!?!?!?!?!

A few days ago it was still hot out, and now i get out of the shower and freeze where i stand! That can only mean one thing here at Area Kids...SALE!!! Most of the fall back stock has been brought up from what has affectionately become my home away from home (the basement) and now we are getting into the heavy duty winter back stock. Next to arrive will be kiwi industries hats and sweaters, tea llama sweaters, Kik kid and bear hands hats and mittens among the cornucopia (fall reference) of back stock we have here.

Tons of Customers...

So it has been really busy here up until now...a lot of people coming in and looking around asking questions but not a lot of buying! ...i asked myself why? So then I realized OH! duh I have a huge sign by the window telling people there is a huge sale at 5th ave haha...well at least there are still people interested in what my store has to offer :)
