Back To School...

Every where you turn "back to school" is lurking. Behind corners, in dark alleys, every where you go!! As i have said before i wish summer would last forever, but with all the awesomely adorable clothes we have been getting in such as Lucky Wang, Appaman, One Kid, and all the great sales kids are not gonna be able to wait 'til school starts so they can gloat to all their friends about their awesome new school attire!

Busy Busy Busy!!!

Oh my goodness!! So much to be done at Fifth Avenue, i am exhausted. Thank goodness i have two wonderful new trainees helping me or i just don't know what I would do! So far we have found prices, distributed things, priced things, folded the sale section, brought fall clothes from the basement to be organized and distributed, created a beautiful new window display (Thanks you two!!) and there is still tons to be done like cleaning!!!

Toddler Store

This is my first time working at the Toddler Store in forever and I have to say its so different than its been.
There are no toys except for stuffed animals, which are a must have, and baby teethers (I may have just made that word up).
We now have mainly clothes and baby supplies.

I feel as though the Toddler store has become the minimalist of Area stores!
and I like it!

Now I wonder what happened to all the toys...

Formosa A.K.A. Taiwan

So as you all or some of you my know I went to Taiwan in May to visit family and had a blast! I never posted up some of the pictures I took. I was just thinking about how much I miss it there and how much I miss the rest of my family. Taiwan is a beautiful little country. The food is always fresh and delicious. I was able to walk to the local food market every morning and have breakfast. The life style out there is very relaxed and the people are always warm and inviting. I can't wait to go back! But for now here are a few pics of some of the local foods, my beautiful mommy and myself :)

The Messiness!!

So this is pretty much what Court street looked liked...but after a few hours of cleaning/organizing and folding I must say it looks much better. It's hard to be in a store that looks messy, but it's never really going to look spotless and overly clean because we carry so much. In my opinion Area Kids stores should and do look like an actual room that a child inhabits. Not messy just overloaded with clothing and toys! That is what differentiates us from other children stores, and I love it.

Such a cute story.

When I started to work at 7th ave.
I used to wear my cowboy boots everyday.
There was a kid (MAX) that used to come here everyday to play for a bit.
The mother told me that every time they will pass by the store he will say: "Mommy lets go visit the cowgirl".
Anyway, time passed by and he always stopped on his way to camp.
Yesterday he came in and he said: " I just finish camp and I made this for you"
He gave me a bag... I opened and there was a cowboy boot picture.
SO cute RIGHT!
Now I have the pic here.
I think I am gonna put up on the wall so when he comes he will see it here.
I think that was very very cute.

I was just kidding...

I didn't get that outfit, she looks like she just came out from the trash can.

Searching for Lucky Wang.

I just love the Lucky Wang sweater.
The one with the dragon.
I started my search the other day looking for that sweater in my size BUT never found it.
I am kind of disappointed because it is hard to find comfy and nice clothes.
I think fashion is getting too crazy.
But anyway during my search I found a designer Alexander Wang which I think has perfect clothes.
I finally got a very cool outfit, no the dragon sweater but I got this outfit which I think it is pretty cool.
What do you think?
