Do you remember childhood?!

Really random question, but do you remember your first book-bag? I ask because Area has a bunch of extremely fun book-bags for this back to school season from Crocodile Creek, Sugar Booger, Fleurville, etc., and it made me start to reminisce about my book-bag from kindergarten.
It was an army green, canvas satchel/messenger bag, with two silver buckles. It used to be my mother's when she attended secondary school and for some reason I persisted that I didn't want any other bag. I have one particular memory of that satchel, that I am quite fond of. I was four years old. I remember the morning my brother first started going to school with me. I was so excited and proud and I wanted to 'show-off' being a big sister and all, so I broke my bear bank and filled my satchel with as many pennies as I could. The bag was so heavy I left all my books at home except for my reading book and my writing copy book - my two favourite subjects.
That day at school, I kept sneaking off to the little shop across the street with him and traded in my millions of pennies for as many sweets and snacks as our hearts desired. Of course I finally got caught when the shop keeper - a fellow church member told on me when my mother came to pick me up. The lucky thing was I never got punished.
I don't know why I still have this memory but I really did love that satchel. Maybe one day the kids that trot into Area and pick out their first book-bag would have great memories of fun times with it like I did.

Multi-codec jukebox.

I don't know if you guys heard or know about the MULTI-CODEC jukebox.
But I remember when I worked at AREA kids at 7th ave for my first time.
Angel was here and told me that she had a radio that I could use so I could have music in the store.
I saw the radio for the first time and I was like (old lady radio, black, kind of ugly and weird looking)no like my pink nano IPODwith 1000 songs so I decided to bring my IPOD with all my music.
After a while I got bored of my IPOD and started to use Angel's radio.
Every morning I have been rushing to get at the store because I love a morning program where people PUNK others.
Very very funny....
I love to hear it.
Yesterday I came to work and I was kind of pissed because I couldn't listen to the program I love but found out that Angel has like 500000000 cd's on it, so I listened all kinds of music all day long.
Today I started to touch every key as possible to try to put on the radio and found out that Angel has movies on it.
Isn't cool.
I can't wait for a slow day during winter, have my popcorn, my hot chocolate from Starbucks and watch movies all day with the ugly dolls, jelly cats, monchhichis, pink heads from Corolle and all the SCH animals.
Yeahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
Fun!!!!

My new car.

I love it.
Because it is strong, pink and not very heavy.
I can't wait to get a ride on it with my dog.

Love is a chocolate covered twinkie

So anytime I think I'm gaining weight I blamed it on my uncontrollable urge to fill my stomach with as many delicious baked goods as possible. The other night I happened to be by the cake shop (this fantastic cafe/record store on the lower east side). Well I always get their vegan fudge mocha brownie but this time they happened to have vegan chocolate covered twinkies! I must say that I got so excited I probably broke into a sweat. I've never had a chocolate covered twinkie and I couldn't possibly choose between the two so I order both...and DANG!!!!!! That twinkie was so delicious. Of course I finished the entire thing. Being the kind of person I am I didn't want my poor brownie to get jealous so I had to eat that too. I immediately regretted it about 10 minutes later when my stomach started yelling at me. Despite the tummy ache I got I would totally do it again...like right now. Gosh that sounds delicious.

For the boys we have JOEY.

Joey can really dress up in many ways, he can be suitably attired, be a police officer, a super hero, a knight, fireman, a construction worker or a pirate.
He can be everything you want. He is THE MAN.
He can adventure his life in many ways.
I feel like I should be dating JOEY.
FUN!!!

I wish I could have so many clothes.

This is Maggie Leigh.
She is a magnetic dress-up doll.
This set combines different outfits as dresses, shorts, t-shirts and pijamas.
Girls love this dolls.
It is fun to dress them up and change them.
From Melissa and Doug of course!!!

So little..

So little but very shinny and loud.
I love it.
