HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Halloween is finally here and I can't wait to see all the kids in their costumes trick-or-treating. One of my favorite parts of Halloween use to be the Roseanne Halloween episodes, the first one was definitely the best...maybe because it was the first! I was able to find the clip where Roseanne gives the best definition of the meaning of Halloween I've ever heard just skip to about 4 in a half minutes into the video and enjoy!

So crazy today with this new program but thanks God all the AREA employees are so helpful and nice to each other that we still making things working out.
Not done yet but working on it.
I actually can't wait to be connect it to all the other stores.
First, the internet which is soooooooooooo much fun!
Second, the AIM that is making us know more about each other and sometimes tease around.
Third, the New quick books is gonna help us know everything about the other stores.
I wonder What's Next?
Trip to Bahamas for all AREA employees and Loreta will come too.

Brooklyn Love

I don't get a chance to work at the AREA Kids Court st. store very often but everytime I do I always eye the Egg and Avocado Canvas bag with the image of the Brooklyn bridge. Not only is a great way to show some Brooklyn love but it's also convenient with plenty of inside pockets and pouches. Dang the more I look at it the more I like it. I love the fact that it can be used as either a tote or as shoulder or messenger bag. Hmmm that would be perfect for my trips to the grocery store oh or all my school junk!

A customer came into the AREA Kids store looking for brown shoes for her little one's Halloween costume as Charlie Brown. I thought that was such a great idea for a little toddler! Then I started wondering if perhaps I missed the airing of the Halloween special but to my luck I haven't! Tomorrow night at 8pm ABC will be airing the best peanuts special ever! Here's a little history: "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" was the third Peanuts special (and first Halloween special) to be produced and animated by Bill Meléndez. Its initial broadcast took place on October 27th, 1966 on the CBS network.

I have to say that I think my favorite part is when they all go trick-or-treating and Charlie Brown keeps getting rocks instead of candy. Oh that poor little Charlie Brown.

(Oh and the customer bought the cute brown Pediped Loafers which turned out to be exactly what she was looking for)

Mellisa & Doug Fruits for Halloween?!

Yesterday evening woman comes to our Montague Store soooo happy that she found Mellisa & Doug plastic fruits for her Halloween Party!
She said she needed them to make her Halloween hat.
I would never think....fruits for the hat? But why not?
People's imagination...the most important that she was so happy!
She said she was looking for them everywhere and she found them at AREA!!!!

I think I might need professional help.

Last night I went over to Williamsburg with my roommate to get a few delicious slices from Vinnie's Pizzeria on Bedford. Everytime I eat at Vinnie's I have to go to Penny Licks. Penny's is just a few stores away from Vinnie's and it's AMAZING!!!!!!!! They have everything from ice cream, cakes, pies, cookies, candies and brownies (just to name a few) most of which is vegan! Last n ight I was tempted by a slice of vanilla strawberry cake but seeing as I just ate 2 huge slices of pizza from Vinnie's I went with something a little smaller. I got the white chocolate raspberry brownie....DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!! I ate a little last night and saved the rest for my lunch today and I was literally licking the paper it was wrapped in.

Shoes!....My Blog Theme for the Week

Sine the last couple of my blogs were about shoes I figured why not continue!

The AREA Kids stores just got in new shoes from See Kai Run called "Smaller" The soft-soled loafers and maryjanes are adorable (as usual) but the "Tine" black ballet flats are so cute and fantastic they're definitely my favorite. In fact every time I see them I can't help but pirouette around the store. Okay that was I lie, I can't even plie. But man wouldn't that have been cool.

I don't eat Japanese wheat cakes often, but when I do, it's soo good for some reason. It's just the right amount of carbs and sweetness..;D

I can't stop eating

Vegetarian Ginger is a vegan restaurant a couple stores down from the AREA store on Montague and every once in a while when I don't bring my own lunch or I already ate my lunch and am feeling rather gluttoness and want more food I get one of their lunch specials. Today I picked up their Mango Soy Protein w/ Vegetables in a Plum Sauce and oh my gosh it was delicious (as there food usually is)! I normally can't finish it all but today I ate the whole thing and I totally needed to undo the top button of my pants. DangI wish I knew when to stop. now I need a belly rub!

Yesterday at the Area Kids store on Montague we got in new See Kai run shoes. I don't know how that company does it but every time I see their new shoes they more adorable than last time. As cute as their trainers are this fall I have to say that my favorite are their boots! The Dominic boot is a classic little dress boot while the Steph is this amazing rust color that you don't see very often but it completely works with this style boot and both are perfect for those rainy days!

"Bashful Bear" is my favorite of the Jellycat animals we just got in. He's very sweet and is not very tough at all. He's a bit of a skulker. Almost pathetic, but not annoying!!! Sweet like...awwwww.

OK all of them are cute and soft.
But let me tell you this cute little donkey is so lovely.
He came here yesterday afternoon and he is already gone.
He has a great personality, fun, friendly and for sure way too cute.

OMG.

I was all alone for a while here at the store until a very nice man walked into the store with her daughter.
He asked: Do you have winter coats?
I said: Yes they are hanging over there.
He said: Do you know that there is a giant roach over here?
I said: Whattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt?
The freaking roach was like the size of my head.
I started to freak out while his daughter ( 2 years old) was like: " Hi little roach", " I love you", I came to save you"
I said: Kill it, kill it.
The man stepped on the roach and the roach went to heaven.
Then I said: Can you pick it up from the floor and put it in the garbage.
He said: YES!!!!!
Well done, dead roach, make a new friend ( he saved my life) and good winter coat sale.

Mmmm espresso

This morning my roommate made me a delicious cup of espresso before we both left for work and I could really use another one right about now. After work I have to go get groceries, walk home, cook and then do a ridiculous amount of schoolwork. Actually, I could probably use 2 or three cups right now.
