It has been quite sometime since I've posted a blog - I've been going through a lot lately and from the looks of the last fews blogs, so have the rest of you. I've experienced a death in my family, been fighting with my family and friends, and feeling really unsure about what I want to do with myself. I've had a rough time over the past three years, and have gone through some things I thought I'd never have to. I'm at a point where I just want to runaway and start all over again, but I'm stubborn and hate quitting. Anyway...
I was reading the Times this morning and there was an article about hospitals deporting illegal immigrants in their care.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/03/us/03deport.html?hpI'm not sure how to respond to this. It just seems like America is moving from discriminating against blacks, to that of immigrants with a disgusting amount of ignorance. I know many of them are illegal, but are they deserving of this kind of ill treatment? But then again, being an illegal alien is a crime, no?! I have no idea anymore. It's just disturbing and confusing the issues our society is constantly faced with and our response to them. Makes me want to rethink the whole idea of becoming a UN Ambassador.
PS: Architectural Digest is a very depressing publication and should be banned from all newsstands!
