I Am A Bugaboo Master

Today I put together my very first Bugaboo Bee! Thank you, thank you, your applause is overwhelming. No, please stop, I have to get back to work.

I was a bit intimidated by the idea of this project - in the past Ursula has always been around to guide me through the treacherous waters of bugaboo land - but it was actually surprisingly easy. SO easy, in fact, that I had it completely done in 10 minutes. The secret? You don't actually have to put Bugaboos together when you buy them. That's right, they come already pre-assembled and folded very neatly in the box. All you have to do is open them up, snap on the front wheels and go. Mine took a bit longer than that because the customer wanted the seat to be facing the opposite direction, but bugaboos are so magnificently simple to adjust that I had that done in 2 minutes flat. The rest of the time was spent chatting away with the (very satisfied) customer.

The Bugaboo

And Me

(Sort of)

Jeff was at 7ave AGAIN...

This time he showed up in an airplane.
He double parked (stopped all the traffic of 7ave) then he unloaded the plane and put all boxes inside my store.
No pics of my store full of boxes this time because it was so packed that I couldn't even move.
Hahahahaha....

"Pretty Ugly" Philosophy

Have you ever taken a moment to read some of the personality descriptions that come along with the ugly dolls? They are one of the best things about them. I don't trust you guys to go and read them yourselves so I'm going to put up a really good example;
"Uglyworms want power.
The Power to do great and wonderful things.
They want your power.
You know that thing you do?
Uglyworms want to do that.
And you know those things you think you can't do?
Uglyworms know you CAN do those things
They think you're bluffing
Oh what power!"

Um, amazingly insightful.

" Some uglyworms are sneaky.
Some are crafty. all are hungry...
For knowledge...
Like where do you keep the
carrot cake? How long
before Ice-Cream goes bad?
Knowledge is power"

Thank you uglyworm.

Vietnamese Coffee.

Yeesh! Yowsa! Kablam! If you are looking for an extreme caffeine/sugar rush to help you get all the cute new fall stuff priced and out on the floor, get a vietnamese coffee (iced or hot). They are sooooooo very extra sweet.
I had no idea it would be like this. Look at all the sweetened condensed milk they put in there.

It is good for everybody.
Please check it out. It has amazing ideas for all of us to save some money.

long time no blog!

hello friends!

I have to formally apologize for my lack of blogging as of late, but I'm back (and better than ever). I have been doing all kinds of silly things when not working at AREA! warning-this blog is going to be VERY self-involved...

I am going to be on tv! haha! I will be on WE tv's show "Cinematherapy" on august 14th. (that date might be wrong, ill keep everyone posted) Its a show where women get interviewed by this hillarious guy named Chuck Nice, on inflatable furniture! He asks movie related questions, comparing them to events in your life. Overall a super fun experience.

My other big news is that I moved on Sunday! I'm back in Park Slope (7th avenue and 15th street) so that has been a little crazy.

OH OH I'll be DJ-ing a party in Greenpoint on August 9th, if anyone is interested in attending let me know and ill give you the info.

And in actual AREA related news, I was looking through the Jane Jenni personality pins, and found one that said "dollface"! I had never seen this one before, so i snatched it up. My new favorite I think. I also love the stud muffin one!! I always find ones that match my friends' personalitites perfectly, and hand them out. Everyone loves them!!!
