Romanian Food...

so yeahh..i had Romanian food for the first time one night last week with my best friend and her boyfriend (he is Romanian) he was so excited to share his native food with us. The two pics above are what I had to eat. The first pic is grilled lamb sausage (I hate lamb) and the soup is this fermented cabbage soup (so it was sour) with beef meatballs...Yeah i did not enjoy my dinner lol. Maybe the food was too exotic for my very Americanized pallet. I wish I were more open but I just could not swallow lamb meat and fermented sour cabbage soup. So I guess the point of this blog is not to discourage people from trying Romanian food or any food, but to not be like me and be open minded :)

WHo knows maybe next I shall attack Russian food! Or maybe Ethiopian food! Suggestions are welcome :)

2008 PT#1: Unbreakable Tea

Check out this new Plan Toys Tea Set!!! We, at AREA have received so many requests for a alternative tea set; less fragile and more resilient to the careless whims of imaginative play. (Those words exactly, only in question form... about every other day.)

Vulli Vulli

This is the new teether by Vulli, a French company that makes our Sophie Giraffes :)
They came out with this new teether that you can freeze! So the top ring is filled with water and when it freezes it causes a cool and hard sensation for baby's teething gum. It is great because the safe plastic handle is there to provide the grabbing area instead of those old school freezing rings where the entire ring was frozen. The baby's hand would freeze as well! So with the Vulli Cool it teether baby can chomp on the frozen ring on top while keeping its hand nice and warm :)
