We have beautiful DwellStudio!

Everyone needs to know about the beautiful and classic patterns/designs from DwellStudio! We've had it in the stores for a little bit now. I adore the patterns and the array of items. The day they came in I had to buy the small travel bag. I throw it in my purse to help organize the chaos :) If you're in need for the perfect gift come check out our selection! I will miss you AreaKids!

How I miss thee already! For those of you who don't know, today is my last day with Area. I have truly enjoyed working at the Williamsburg location for a little over a year! AreaKids is a magical little store that I truly love being a part of :) I am sad to say I will not have time in my crazy new schedule to continue on. I hope to keep in touch with you all, and will miss all the neighborhood families who come in to the store regularly. Hopefully in the future, when my schedule is not so hectic, I will be welcome back at Area to work again!!! Au revoir to all my fellow employees and Loretta G. I will miss you guys keep in touch! :)

Icebat Begins

Have you seen this guy around town? The latest incarnation of Ugly Dolls' "Icebat," aptly named "Ice Lodge Icebat," has been haunting around down in the Area Play basement!!!

He'll keep you cool through any heat wave and promises to be a fierce companion for life. Take another look at his face, there is none sincerer.

On this myspace link are just a couple of the kid's songs that are soon to be released on a c.d of awesome songs by my dear old dad. The latter two "Squonkalini Family" and "Star Bangled Barnyard" are the kid's tunes; they're some of the oldest, ones that he wrote when I was a kid.
As for the rest of the album, some of the songs are story oriented some just very simple, all are very fun and original. Some will even feature my younger self on vocals. More kid's songs will be posted soon! While you're there check out my brother's page, not kids music but very good nonetheless!
