Frank Sinatra

Following up on Nicoles post, I'd have to say that Frank Sinatra singing Stormy Weather puts me in a holiday mood. I don't think the song pertains to cold weather, christmas or winter...BUT IT DOES TO ME. I just wish rockabye did rock renditions of holiday songs...or Frank Sinatra : )

Oh the toys...

Christmas is in the air, and in honor of the festivities lots of toys are available at Court for the buying!! We have an assortment of puzzles, nyc trains, trucks, books, crafts and projects, just about anything that a kid could possibly want!! Hurry while supplies last!!

Designers

Here's a little bit of knowledge about some of the brands we carry.
Great way to make yourself look designer savvy and teach our customers!
"Did you know...."

Appaman: Founded and created by a Norwegian expat who now lives in Brooklyn, Appaman aims to deliver "street cred" to little ones. The designs are hip and the fabrics are extra soft and durable.

Claesen's: Claesen's is a Dutch company that is famous for its underwear and nightwear. The cotton is extra soft and the colors are great. Affordable, too!

Glug baby: Mama and papa-owned. San Francisco-based. Great designs, great attitude!

KIK-KID: Also Dutch, this company has a mama owner/designer. She has produced what we think is the most amazing line of hats out there, among other items. We are thrilled to offer such unique and useful hats. Meanwhile, the star theme of the KIK-KID collection coincidentally connects KIK-KID with Pink Gorillas, because we have stars in our logo too.

Zutano: Based in Vermont-the-beautiful, Zutano was founded by two New York artists who transplanted after having two baby girls. Their designs are sturdy, fun, soft, cheerful, and affordable. The fit is boxy and roomy.

Batik by Nancy: Nancy has owned a store in Brooklyn since the 70s, and has been Batik-ing by hand (side by side with her daughter) sturdy, comfortable clothes for all these years. If you don't know how Batik works, every garment is hand-painted with hot wax and then dyed. It's slow but endearing, because no two pieces are identical. The Batik by Nancy onesies are so soft and so great looking, you'll reach for them everyday. Nancy is a wonderful person and we are grateful for the help she gave us when we told her of our small business idea.

Blossom: The brain-and-heart-child of a local mom here in Brooklyn. Blossom's founder is a painter who turned to sewing after the birth of her Blossom, now 3. She chooses beautiful fabrics, favors simple designs, and infuses her hand-made pieces with warmth and whimsy.
