It's my birthday!!

Hooray, I'm 22! For my birthday, I was given the Williamsburg store! Well, no, not really. But, I have been primarily stationed here--which is great! So much to do with sales stuff and new things coming in, it'll be a busy week. I'm looking forward to working at one location and mastering it for all purposes. Had a pumpkin spice latte yesterday, and it made my week (soo delicious!). So if anyone ever wants to stop by and bring me a grande skim pumpkin spice latte in exchange for hugs, feel free! I'm loving these reversible down winter coats, I wish they had them in my size. Oh boy, to be a kid again with all the new toys and clothes of today would be awesome.

p.s. Loretta just called and said someone is sick--whoever it is, feel better!

No wonder I feel more cultured

Last night I went to an art opening for Dennis Mcnett at The Stanton Chapter 176 (Lower East Side). He turned the entire gallery into one large piece of art. Dennis is a printmaker who uses wood blocks to make these amazing panels. I highly recommend going and checking it out, it will be there for the next few weeks. Walking into the gallery was like walking into a jungle/forest with images of wolves, bats, snakes, owls, goats, leopards and trees!

Is this what it's like to be cultured?

Lots to do at the toddler store. It seems like the new fall Tea is never ending. I can't seem to price the new items fast enough. It's as though I finish one box and three more boxes seem to pop out of nowhere and take its place! The good news is that the new fall items we're getting are fun and adorable. If you look at the image hard enough I'm sure you can find me folding the new Zutano Rompers!

That's How I Roll

So today when I was folding shirts and putting out new items I noticed the I stroll Brooklyn shirt by Pluto. Then i thought about how tough it would be if the back of the shirt said "That's How I Roll." Dang maybe I should go to work for Pluto creating slogans. I'm going to start writing down t-shirt slogans right now...or maybe bumper stickers, which ever industry has more money in it.

..There's a new crisp in town.

I was addicted to Soy Crisps for a while but I just discovered these babies and they are sooo good & full of flavor. I just had the Tomato Basil ones!



I am still thoroughly enjoying www.deezer.com for their streaming radio. They have a good mix of songs playing on each radio. Except I don't know how Donna Summer, Le Tigre, and Black-Eyed Peas are considered to be "similar". Whatev! Time to tackle the sale section... (but just very glad that it's 1/20th of 5th's size ;)

Magnifico !

Court Street has been going through a transformation, little by little, over the past week. We are now labeling everything by brand, not size. This will make it MUCH easier for the customers (and us) to know where everything is, how many sizes we have and what we have in stock. The infant section is finished and has already proven to be a piece of cake for the customers to sift through piles, looking for particular sizes.
The toddler section and pants section is next! It'll take a few extra hours but it should make this a comfortable environment!



On another note, Fall is around the corner and I am LOVING how it feels outside today. I woke up this morning and the news said it was 56* out. I couldn't believe it! I have been waiting for this season since I moved here (last November)! The only downFALL is: with season change, comes the sniffles.

Claesen Retro Baby!!

Ok so for some reason I was unable to find our new Claesen hot pink leggings that also come in blue. I only have toddler sizes right now and I have to say they are pretty darn cool. Picture leggings that are leopard print but hot pink or blue, they are very american apparel-esque hehehe. Very 80's retro rock n' roll style, very cool.

Although I did not find a picture of the leggings i did, however find one of my new favorite onesie!!! take a look at this..this will make a perfect gift for a music lover's child! Perhaps you are hoping your baby will grow up to become a guitarist in a famous rock band? Well this is the perfect start :)
