Mini Charlies :)

I was playing with the awesomeness of the camera feature on my phone, and I took this picture of BlaBla dolls, Charles & Charles. A customer called me frantic today, because she was desperately seeking the mini Charlie twins. She begged me to put them aside, that she would be right over to get them. Unfortunately, by closing, the Charlie twins were yet to be adopted.

Another One Bites the Dust

So this morning marked my official third day of Xootring to work, and let me tell you that it is fantastic. I live about a 20 minute walk from the 5th ave store, but on my new and awesome Xootr it takes just 10 minutes door to door. I know, I know, my life is amazing. But to help you with your jealousy, today I'm posting about my first great Xootr crash of the season. There I was, scooting merrily along 5th ave, when I passed a really cute dog (I'm a sucker for a furry face). I turned to get a better look and, of course, hit a giant crack in the sidewalk and went flying. Don't worry, I'm fine and more importantly the Xootr is also fine. It can take a socking and go right on rocking. I, on the other hand, took a minute to recover. A crowd of people gathered around (most asking if I was ok, only a few giggling) as I got up and dusted off my pride. I guess I still need some practice before I enter any X-treme Xootring competitions - and from now on I will ignore even the cutest puppy face! You may now shower me with sympathy and presents.

Meet JellyCat, Junglie Elephant.

Couldn't post the two pictures together. But here he is!

JellyCat Dolls!!!

This is a bit weird, but I bought myself two JellyCat dolls! I'm going to have to hide it when I get home - no one needs to know about it - but I really adore the JellyCat Junglie Elephant and Spotty Giraffe. They are just the cutest things, and they feel so soft. They only cost twelve bucks each, which is awesome - I'm still saving to get a BlaBla doll.
On the tag it gives the name of the doll and the reel me in line for suckers like me, "Please look after me" Awwwwwwww!

Fraggles!!!! - MARIE POSTED THIS, NOT JESSELYN

I felt the need to expand on this post because Fraggle Rock is such a amazing show for many reasons. To name a few; really good plots, music, voices and the characters are all very uniquely defined and developed. Boober is one of my favorites. Here is a short clip for those of you who are unfamiliar with it. The other link is a fun quiz I found. It gives you a breakdown of your character in fraggle terms.
It said I was most like Mokey but I'm not sure I buy it.

Good Night, New York City!

If you're stumped on gift ideas for a child, a book is always a good option. Sure, you may not think it sounds exciting but it really can be. Especially if the book is 'Good Night New York City' by Adam Gamble. Most of us are familiar with the classic book, 'Good Night Moon' and I think this is why a lot of people opt for 'Good Night New York City', because it reminds them of that.

Whether you are buying this for a child who lives in or outside of New York City, they are bound to think it's a cool book. It's easy for a beginning reader to start reading or perfect for a parent to read to the child. The pages are filled with color and fun and portray New York City correctly. It shows the Brooklyn Bridge, hot dog vendors and more. You have to check it out for yourself to see what else is in it! :)
