A Million Things To Do!!!

Omg!!! We (Kerri and I) Have done so much today and yet we have a million more things ready to do tomorrow!!! I have been leaving work so exhausted due to a combo of heat, business and hunger, but tonight my BF is making me a huge awesome dinner and then i am going to take a frigg'n sweet nap!!

I don't know about you but I feel cultured.

On Friday night I went to an art opening for Dennis Mcnett at the Stanton Chapter (lower east side). Dennis turned the whole gallery to a visually stunning piece. He's a print maker and he used wood block panels to create a world filled snakes, wolves, trees and leopards. I was really impressed with his creative approach for displaying his work, it was like walking into a forest/jungle. His work will be on display for the next few weeks and I highly recommend going--come on you'll feel so cultured by the end you won't even know what to do!

Nicole Rules!

For some reason, everytime I work with Nicole 5th ave runs like a well oiled machine. It's like an unspoken bond .... when there's a rush we each just start manning our respective areas and know when the other person needs help before they even ask. We've already done a bunch in sales today and it feels like it hasn't even been busy because of the way we handle the store. We've also managed to price and put out an entire box of TEA in the midst of all of the hustle and bustle.

We rule.

Owl Terror!!!

A young girl just shrieked in TERROR upon seeing this Owl Mobile by Flensted, that we have hanging in AREA Play. I think for a split second she maybe thought they were real!! After careful consideration, she soon basking in its designed sense of harmonic balance. And then she left.

Flensted mobiles are skillfully hand made in Denmark, and are packaged ready to hang.

AREA really is everywhere...

Even in your dreams!

At 2am this morning a awoke from a dream about the AREA store. I was at the counter folding a pile of rompers that was never ending. Every time I finished a stack I would look over and there would be more Itti Kid rompers to fold. AHHHHHHHHHHH The Area stores are always well supplied!

darkness...

This morning when I walked into my store and it was dark...I tried to turn on the lights and nothing!!! Only the bathroom light and the lights by the window works. What in the world??? Can it be a fuse problem? If so why is the computer working along with a few lights, so now I am in the dark. I hope that the lgihts come back on :(

I can't even get to the basement and try to fix this problem because the landlord is not around and no one seems to have the basement key!
