I MISS MY COUNTRY...

This is Costa Rican "gallo pinto" main dish. (RICE and BEANS)

These birds are always flying around trying to steal your food. They are very friendly. (LAPAS)
This is Jaco Beach, one of the most famous beaches.
Sunset is everyday at 6pm because we are located very close to the Ecuador.(AVELLANAS BEACH).
The water is very clean and warm. (CAHUITA)

Arenal volcano is always like this. It never stops. Very annoying.
I used to live 5 minutes from this waterfall. The name of it is "El ANGEL" and also Poas Volcano is there (the second biggest crater in the world).

My country is beautiful and people are very very friendly. You guys should plan a vacation there. You will love it and it is also very cheap hahaha!
Anyway, back to work at AREA KIDS, lot of things going on here today.

Pirate Ship Deception.

Ursula's blog reminded me of the last time I went to Coney Island. I had every intention of going on the Cyclone but I didn't make it because I was horrifyingly derailed by the Pirate Ship ride. I mean, I knew better than to think it would be as harmless as it looked, I remember it being scary in my early days but I was unprepared for the absolute horror I felt when the pirate ship reached it's pinnacle and swooped back down again. Every time the dreaded ship got ready to go back up I felt like my brains and other insides were in complete turmoil, like the world was being turned upside down and sideways and shot into some alternate dimension of doom. My skirt kept blowing up and to add further to my dismay, the gentleman operating this machine was none other than an evil pirate demon(in full garb)sent up from the depths to terrorize my soul. Or, to warn me perhaps?
Seriously, I got off and had a miniature nervous breakdown down, I couldn't function for like an hour, Afterwards my friend told me she saw a glimpse of what I will be like as an old lady.
Really, she honestly said that.

...just blogging about it made me woozy

Rant(a mini story)

Ugghh. All of the electronics are going Crazy at Montague, thats already stressful. Then in my quest to fix things this awful woman comes in who refuses to watch her son. The child is two-ish cute as a button and running wild. Area Kids must have been his dreamland. Anyway he takes a liking to the Vilac umbrellas. Bang Bang Bang, the poor things are being treated like a hammer. So Instead of having to go through the whole you break it you buy it argument.I said to her I'm sorry, he's not allowed to play with the umbrellas.Well this is a Toy store she hissed. Moments later She wrestling the umbrellas away from him. Once she pried them from his grip he threw himself on the floor and gave the type of tantrum that would have made the terrible twos society proud. After his award winning kicking and screaming she scooped him and started to storm out of the door. But before her exit she spins around and spews her venom at me once more. From me she gets silence. Bang! she slams the door and she and her wailing son were off.

You've just read a chapter from The Area Kids Chronicles stay tuned!

Dear Area

It has been 5 days since the last time I was at work, and what did I do during those 5 days? Well here is a little peek at my first 5 day weekend since March from AREA

Saturday: I went to Six Flags with a few of my friends one who had a phobia of roller coasters, but wanted to get over it, and he did. This is one of the many coasters I rode, and he did not. It is called the Kingda Ka. The Kingda Ka Coaster hits 128 mph (206 km/h) in 3.5 seconds. At the end of the launch track, the train climbs the main top hat tower reaching a height of 456 feet (45 stories)!!! So, that was pretty awesome.

Sunday: Unfortunately due to all the excitement, staying up for 24 hours, and Six Flags nutrition such as oversugared lemonade, ice cream dots (YUM), and popcorn + heat, I felt nauseous the next day and could not come in to work. I will spare you folks the picture of that.

Monday: I went to school, and presented a paper on New Reproductive Technologies. My paper was about emergency contraceptives such as the "day after pill", and the Copper T Intra Uterine Device (IUD). I had to read it out loud, which sucked because I had a personal account in my paper, but I got an A, which made my personal embarrassment totally worth it.

Tuesday: For the first half of my day I was volunteering at AVP, a group which concentrates on helping LGBT victims of domestic violence. The rest of my day (until 9pm) was spent in the darkroom at school developing film, making contact proof sheets, and full prints!!! It sounds easy, but it can actually be a very tedious process.

Wednesday: It was back to school again!!! WooHoo!!! I learned all about the women's movement pertaining to domestic violence, and rape. I Also learned to use filters in my photography class, and received a compliment on my photo, my professor said it was "exquisite", and he doesn't use that word ever.

Today, I was supposed to go to AVP, and the darkroom since I am a bit backed up in terms of the technical assignments, but I was scheduled for the later shift, and did not notice til 12 am today so I could not go :0(.

But at least I am working with MARIE!!!! :0)

Not my size...

So if you follow all my posts, and I know that you do, you'll be sure to remember about my power animal; the giraffe. So of course I had to try on the size 6 purple giraffe hoodie. Tight squeeze.

Very nice and clean.

OK, last week my store was a total disaster.
Today it looks so nice and clean.
Behind the register still a bit messy but its OK. It looks perfect again.
I am so happy to see back my nice and clean store, YEAHHHHH!!!!!!!!
