What can't Trupettes come in my size?

When I was a kid my dad gave me the nickname little foot, it was cute then but as I've gotten older the name just serves as an unplesent reminder that my feet are anything but little. It's nearly imposible to find shoes that don't make my feet look like they belong to Sasquatch's younger sister, so usually I settle for really cute socks. And socks don't come any cuter than Trumpettes. Which is why I ask the universe "Why can't Trumpettes come in my size?"

Seaturtles !

I came into the store today and noticed we got a new twilight animal!! He is super cute. He is a cute lil' blue sea turtle :) Here see for yourselves ~~~~> The twilight ladybug and twilight turtle are super cute too but the sea turtle for some reason has captured my heart...I think I will have to buy one tee hehe

Power animal huh? Hmmm...

I think my power animal is the octopus. That sounds weird huh? i never had a dream about one, but i love them, they are so cool and i have always admired their intelligence, cunning, and beauty.

The Beauty of Ugly Dolls

To piggy back on my blog from the other day, the one about how i am totally crazy for the adorable little hideously disfigured ugly dolls, i was in the 7th avenue store i overheard some parents talking about the how the ugly doll phenomena began. My curiosity was piqued and so i decided to do some investigating of my own. Among the many great things i learned about the ugly dolls, the most exciting thing i discovered was that there have just been five new additions made to the ugly doll family...

Lets give a warm welcome to Puglee, Ugly Ghost, Poe (an ugly dragon), Babo's Bird (he loves to eat Babo's cookie crumbs), and Plunko. They are all so cute.

Movie Night :)

Sooo Fridays are usually movie nights with my boo but we missed it the past 2 Fridays because there were no movies worth dishing out $11 bucks for. But last night we went to see Hell boy! It was sooo good. There was comedy, action, tears and love. I honestly forgot what the first one was about but that didn't matter because Hell Boy 2 kicked butt!!! Everyone should go see it, but remember It is rated pg13 so parents don't take you kiddies! There is a bit of violence.

Also I am one of those people who can not sit through a movie without eating popcorn...yeah and I was already full from dinner haha. I got myself a bag of popcorn and then I saw they were also selling cheddar cheese flavored seasoning to sprinkle on the popcorn...yeah had to buy that too. Needless to say I went a little overboard hehe.

Now carrying ERGO Sucking Pads!!!

So a couple days ago, Area girls were tripping over the latest ERGO order. With this order, AreaKids was introduced to the ERGObaby Sucking Pads. It's a nifty little thing - that attaches right to the shoulder straps of the ERGO carrier - that the baby can suck on as much as it's sweet little gums desire. It's made of 100% terry cloth and is machine washable, great for when the little one gets a little bit too much drool on it. It comes in two great colours - mocha and cream; and it also comes two in a pack for just $14! Now look at that adorable little sucker :)

Believe it or not, last night I found myself thinking of ideas for the next days blogs. Then I asked myself, what is a "blog"? Being really new to the "blogging" scene, or to the "really putting effort into writing on the internet" scene, I needed to know

Where did this cute little squishy word that has taken over the internet come from?

Is it just a nonsensical mess of letters put together by contemporary society in order to capture our sometimes fickle attention?? This may sound like it could be true, but the word "log" is in blog, and "log" is already a real word that means a record of performance, events, or day to day events.

Okay, so that makes sense right, but what about the "B" in blog?

Further research shows that the word "blog" is an abridgment for the term "weblog" which was coined in 1997 by Jorn Barger. 2 years after Barger introduced the term "web log", Peter Merholz an avid web logger announced he was going to pronounce web blogs as “wee-blog”. Eventually he shortened "wee-blog" to the "blog" that we know and love today.

So, if anyone other than myself was tossing and turning in bed over that, hopefully you can sleep tonight.
