Best Day Off Ever: Part 2

Before leaving the aquarium we decided to hit the gift shop to see if there were any cool books about the animals we saw, no books, just cheap souvenirs, (disappointing), but i bought a cool shark tooth necklace, and since it was so hot that day, we still made it to the beach for some lounging in the sand and swimming after our tiring day of learning and adventuring the aquarium.

It was the Best Day Off Ever!!! lol

Best Day Off Ever!!!

So, as you probably gathered from the title of my blog, i had the best day off ever on Monday. My hubby happened to have the same day off so we decided since the weather was so gorgeous we should head to the beach!! While walking from Coney Island to Brighton we happened to pass the aquarium, since i was trying to eat my ice and hold my lemonade (which was not working out well) we decided to sit down near the entrance and find out what time the aquarium closed. At this point, the aquarium had our interest piqued and we decided to 86 the beach and check out the cool sea animals inside instead. We are just too spontaneous!! We saw so many cool animals, and a sea lion show, which i was opposed to seeing because i don't think it is right to make animals perform, but i went because my bf really wanted to go. I'm not gonna lie, although cruel, it was impressive. Here are some of the animals we saw:

Lion's Mane Jelly fish: largest of all jelly fish, tentacles can be up to 33 feet long!!


Sea Horse: Ha ha Just Kidding! Here is the real one!


Walrus: They are so cool, the one we saw came right up and pushed his cute little belly (well, big belly) on the glass. The look leathery, but they are actually covered in fur!!


Sea Turtles and sharks:


An of course, my favorite animal of all!! OCTOPUS!!! The aquarium was so cool and we learned alot of cool stuff. Friday is suggested donations so defiantly go if you get a chance.
