Jellycat Soft Books - so adorable!

Meet Sheldon the Sheep, a new soft book from Jellycat! This lovely lilac sheep has a friendly face, and opens to reveal a wonderful story! Silky "wool" is dotted with purple bows. The story inside tells of an adventure-filled day with Sheldon and friends, while a velcro strap at the tummy keeps this tale tucked safely away! Makes a wonderful gift for young children that can later help in the process of reading.

ERGO Backpacks!!!!

I was browsing through the ERGO website and I came across these backpacks, which I did not know Ergo made. They can be used by themselves, or be attached to the carrier itself, with I thought was pretty nifty idea for a diaper bag / carry all for mom and baby!

Wow...I want this!

I wish we carried this funky Hawaiian print Ergo at Area. I don't have a baby, but I'll sure as hell get one so I can use this.

Cute Umbrellas!!

I love the new umbrellas we have here at fifth!! They are Sooooo Cute!! The English Rose umbrellas are great, really sophisticated and cute for the little princesses out there!

Time For Tea!

Wow! We just put out the new fall Tea Collection at Fifth Ave. and i have to say the new girls clothing is adorable!! I think the patterns they have designed are so cute, pretty, not too much, not too boring, they are absolutely perfectly adorable!! I love the dots and the flowers the best!

I've got $50 on the Narwhal

So for about 2 weeks my friend was obsessed with Narwhals. He also has an obsession with unicorns. I often find myself sucked into debates about who would win in a battle a unicorn or a pegasus. So the other day he leaves me a message telling me about the rough day he was having. That same day I stumbled across this in the Area store. Before presenting this present to him I asked him this question "If you got to pick 2 horned animals to battle which ones would you choose?" His immediate response was Narwhal vs. Unicorn! To sum up the story his mind was blown when I presented him with the Unicorn vs. Narwhal set. I have never seen him as excited as he was when he discovered that they had interchangeble "magical battle horns" with powers like detecting weakness and "kills vampires." Now all I need is a Unicorn vs. Pegasus!

The Bilibo Chair! - so much fun!

The Bilibo Activity Shell offers toddlers and kids a super-cool, modern and unique toy that allows children to invent the play!
Swiss designer Alex Hochstrasser created the Bilibo for funky kids age 2-7 based on research done on preschool students.
The joy of the Bilibo is that it is a well designed, brightly colored, 100% recyclable award-winning children's toy based on the concept of the classic cardboard box!
The most fun thing in the world is to get a Bilibo, flip it over, fill it with other cool gifts for a little one and watch the magic happen when they open their birthday present!
With a world of fun toy possibilities in its sleek modern design, we can't wait to hear what your toddlers invented in their creative and imaginative play with their Bilibo!

Slippery When Wet

So this morning, being the respectful roommate I am, I went to wash my dishes right after using them. I must be a thorough scrubber or else my super strength is acting up again because mid-wash a glass broke. To spare everyone from the gory details I'll just say I cut myself. So now everything takes at least twice as long with only one hand to use. On the plus side I can crack jokes about how "I single handedly...blah blah blah."

I think this is the universes way of telling me that I am not meant for work housework.

Movieeee

Did anyone else go to see "The Shining" last night? It was free movie night at Brooklyn Bridge Park. I had only seen bits and pieces of the movie before, so I was glad that I was going to be able to see the whole movie ..in one of the coolest ways!

The movie was NOT kid-friendly, though entertaining none-the-less!

If you have never seen a movie at Brooklyn Bridge Park, I highly recommend it. No matter what the movie is, you're sure to have a good time if you bring a blanket and some good friends! I recommend bringing a pillow too for extra comfort. If you don't, you'll find yourself moving around in 2353467 positions like I did.

Click HERE if you are interested in more movies and events being held at this park!

Bring it Clouds!

Okay so I have refused to buy an umbrella this year because not only am I incredibly stubborn but I'm also very stylish. I just haven't found the right umbrella. They just can't seem to live up to my snobby tastes...UNTIL NOW! Luckily my days of walking through the door resembling a drowned cat are over! We just got in the cutest umbrellas from Kidorable. Now my only problem is deciding between the pirate umbrella (I mean come on, It's got a sword for a handle!)
Or between the Kidorable's English Rose umbrella (if it sounds familiar it's because it's from Madonna's book), I'm a sucker for polka dots.

Get ready for winter!

Beautiful reversible down coats for boys and girls! Fun puffy design will keep your child warm!
Now available at our stores. Come and get it!

Recall!!!!

This morning Jessica informed me of a recall being made by Haba. One of our customers called the store and told her that the Haba toys: Rally, and Pirate Joe. It doesn't end at that, after conducting some research online I found that at least 14 of the Haba toys we carry were also recalled. Listed here are the pictures and names of products that were recalled according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission :
Triola

Little Hearts Stroller Toy

Speedy

Pacifier Holders (bear and bunny)

Rally

Trio

Bella

Bonita

Little Heart Clutching Toy

Lucy

Belinda

Pirate Joe

Flori

The complaints involved 15 customers who witnessed their children sucking on the small parts of the toys which included mirrors, bells, and beads. First and foremost ladies and gentlemen, don't ever leave your child unsupervised when they are less than a year old, second make sure to contact Haba at
(800) 468-6873 ext. 107 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday for a refund, or product replacement if you have purchased any of the items listed above. Although here at Area we love to help, we can't do anything about this, only the manufacturer can.
Thanks & Be Safe!

My favorite toy for little girl!

That little basket with a cute doll inside turns into a bag! Isn't that cute gift for your little girl?
Of course I had to buy it for my daughter! She loves to play with it!

NEW UMBRELLAS!!!!!!!!!!!

We all know that before the snow comes the rain, here are some new umbrellas I ordered from Kidorable at the New York International Gift Fair. I hope they are more reliable and sturdy than Vilac umbrellas which fall apart after they are opened!!!! These new umbrellas will retail at about 14 dollars, not bad for some very cute rainy weather accessories. :0)
Just look at how excited she is!!!

TEA just arrived.

Beautiful clothes.
Fall collection.
Here at 7th ave.

DAmn it!

Why did the Koreans have to invent such an amazing frozen yogurt goodness?? The frozen heaven in a cup is tangy, a lil sweet just the right amount, cold and creamy and then when you top it off with granola and fresh fruits...ohhh man it just traps you and makes you crave it!!
First I encountered Pink Berry, became addicted for a while until I found out about Yogo Monster on 7th ave, became addicted to that! HA and then I discovered Red Mango (the original korean frozen yogurt) last night and now I am sooo helplessly addicted to that. Just take a look at it...but I must warn you..even the image might be addictive!

Tootsie Rolls!

Is it any wonder why this T-Shirt by Junk Food is selling out? We currently carry this t-shirt but in Pink It is super cute!! It even has glitter, what girl wouldn't want that! And I have to agree with the message it is sending out too ;)
Grreat now i want some tootsie pops haha
