Sometimes we let free summer activities slip through our fingers, not because we don't want to partake in them, but mostly because we forget, and no one reminds us.

These are just a few FREE activities offered in our very own NYC, all are kid friendly :0)
The
Brooklyn Museum of Art is free 5–11pm the first Saturday of every month. (The first free Saturdays at the Museum are awesome! The museum opens the ballroom and offers different music every month)
The
New York Botanical Garden is free all day Wednesday and Saturday 10am–noon.
The
Whitney Museum of American Art is pay-what-you-wish admission Fridays 6–9pm.
The interactive 6,200-square-foot SoHo
Scholastic Store is fun for kids of all ages. Free Saturday events inlcude author readings and character visits.
Picturesque Bryant Park hosts free concerts, outdoor movies and other special events in warm weather.
Take a cruise on the free
Staten Island Ferry, which goes between Manhattan and Staten Island, and see the lower Manhattan skyline, harbor and Statue of Liberty.
Village Alliance offers free tours of 8th Street and Street Mark's Place in Greenwich Village Saturdays at 11:30am. Tours depart from the northwest corner of Second Avenue and St. Mark's Place.

Hudson River Park offers River Flicks, from July 11th to August 20th
Riverside Park from July 11th to August 20th
This location is my favorite the name does not lie,
Movies with a View is a beautiful setting, and there is music!! The movies run from July to August 28th.
This is one venue I have not visited,
Rooftop Films, but it looks like everyone else went!
