Of course, Patricia has to blog today again.

OK, I didn't blog before because I was so busy.
Trying to price all the APPAMAN, price all the toys (Jeff came yesterday), price all the Junk Food new T-shirts, etc...
Until now 5:27pm had the time to be on the internet and think about what to blog.
Well honestly I don't really know what to say after all day doing inventory my brain is kind of cooked.
The only thing I can think about is running.
I can wait to get out of the store and feel the air in my face while I run.
I also cant wait for the OLYMPICS 08/08/08.
Two of my idols will be there Paula Radcliffe from London and Ryan Hall from the United States.
They are great marathon runners with excellent times.
Anyway, my Tag Gun broke so I can't tag any more.
That's probably the reason why I am blogging.
OK, my brain is not working anymore.
I feel like going in to one of the Penelope Peapod and take a nap.
See you tomorrow BLOG.

Yummy orange julius made with cocunut milk!!

Delicious shake made by my sister in the ice creammaker!! Cocunut milk instead of cows milk make it even more amazing....Blogging with 1 hand is hard, as other hand is holding a sleeping baby!

Sneaky Giraffe.

Many of you may remember that I posted about power animals a few weeks ago and was a little unsure but was leaning towards the giraffe.
Well, the other night, Ursula came over to my apt for a much needed girls night of fun(aka pillow fights and pizza) and she noticed that what to me looked like a random pattern on a dress I have was actually, in fact, A GIRAFFE!!!!! Oh my god, I was truly amazed. How did it get there without my noticing? It snuck into my wardrobe and I was totally unaware. What else could it be but my power animal?

Any other animals sneaking into dreams or closets lately?

LOVE WHAT YOU DO.

GOOD ARTICLE.

I want to share with you a great success story from one of my clients, Susan*, because I am so proud of her. Susan had been working in the computer industry since college (8-10 years) and though she was financially and professionally successful, she felt dissatisfied with her career. Her heart was just not in it anymore.

Susan did a brave thing - she decided to make the effort to pursue a career change right now. For about six months we worked together to uncover her core interests, identify her values, test her natural abilities, and outline the parameters required for fulfilling work for her.

It wasn't easy and the process took time but Susan tells me it was well worth the effort. Susan has started a new career that now fits WHO she is along with what she believes in, and what she can do. Susan moved from computer programming into bio-informatics and is now working on a life saving new medical product. Susan had always had an interest in biology and human medicine. Sadly, she had put her interests and values on the shelf, like many of us, because the job market was tight when she entered the work force.

Susan called me last week, after her first day at her new job in bio-informatics. She left me a message. In it she said: "I wanted to let you know I had the best day at work that I think I have ever had. It was just unbelievable." Congratulations Susan! Congratulations for standing up to the doldrums and not accepting a lifetime of unsatisfying work.

Life is just too short to be unhappy with your work. When we are unhappy in our work our friendships and relationships suffer, our physical health suffers and our mental health suffers. Everyone deserves work-life satisfaction. Afterall, our work takes up at least one half of our waking hours in life.

So now I ask you: are you happy in your work? If you are - you have a gift! If not, what are you going to do about it?

keep on truckin' Area

Hello Area
So, I've been looking through blogs for the past few days and noticing a general sense of malaise and dissatisfaction with the world. Now, don't get me wrong, I'd be the first to agree,I know the feeling and it can be hard to pull yourself out.
Well, Nicole asked if anyone could restore her faith in humanity. That is quite a task and I'm sure that I cannot! However, I do think it's important to remember that all of these awful things come from somewhere. Things usually have a cause and if you took every awful act any human ever committed and traced it back through their lifetime and experience, you'd probably find a reason. Finding a reason is important, it may not make you feel a whole lot better about the awful things we are bombarded with every single day, but maybe it'll help you to keep on truckin' till you do!
Anyway, reading those blogs led me to look up this website which is a nice reminder not only that people can be good but that we all struggle with surviving and with what it means to do the right thing, if we didn't, we wouldn't be people, two sides to every coin...actually I'm sure we all have a lot more than two but anyway here's the website, and here's one of the stories I found on it.

"A Gas Station Gift I Couldn't Afford

--posted by bubbie on Jul 26, 2008

Just recently, there was a man standing near the islands in the gas station when I pulled in. I had recognized him from before, when I saw him trying to cross 4 lanes of traffic with crutches. He still had his crutches with him.

When I got out of the car he politely asked me if he could pump my gas. I said, no thank you and continued on. I started to notice he asked other people the same question, and I realized he was doing it for money, but he wasn't getting any. As I looked at him, he seemed genuinely worn out and running low on energy.

As I passed by him to go inside, he smiled and commented on how hot it was. I agreed, and asked him if he had walked here. He said yes, he is trying to get donations to be able to keep him and his sick wife in a hotel, because thats the only place left for them, besides the street. I went inside the gas station grabbed a couple of cold waters, and went back outside.

As I approached him and handed him the water, he looked at me with teary eyes, then I handed him the change from a twenty. He looked back at me and said, "God Bless You."

My heart felt so good!

I really couldn't afford to give him what I did, but by golly, at least I have the luxury of knowing where I'll be every night. Most people will call me a sucker and I gave into a bum.

I don't believe that. I did what I thought was right."
