We have a new air conditioning unit over here at Area Play... Straight from "The baby store" into the sleeve of "331" (our address here on smith st.). This store has to be at least twice as big as AREA Mom & Baby, and yet, when Genarro opened up the Uhaul to reveal this behemoth of a thing, I was pretty sure this A/C unit was about 3 times as big as the one installed.
I'm all in favor of beating the odds; I love underdog stories, but I have to say that our A/C just sucked. No match for the afternoon sun coming through the front of the store, it was in dire need of retirement. Now don't get me wrong, it was a fine fine unit, giving it's all every single day against impossible circumstance. Big heart, but too little power...
So as I type this, I am bittersweetly basking in the comfort of our new super confident air conditioner, as our little A/C that couldn't, sleeps for now in the basement.
